Pinkhead Music Records is an independent, artist-run music collective based in Malaysia. Founded by Zul Aqil, the label supports underground, experimental, and emerging musicians—especially those overlooked by the mainstream. It operates with a strong DIY ethos, prioritizing creative freedom, fair practices, and community-building over commercial gain.

More than just a label, Pinkhead also runs Pink Static Magazine and Pink Head Radio, forming a full ecosystem for raw, weird, and criminally unheard music. From bedroom recordings to limited-run releases and local collaborations, Pinkhead Music Records exists to amplify voices that don’t fit the mold.

Supports underground and experimental artists, especially newcomers. Focuses on lo-fi, DIY, and emotionally honest music. Distributes music digitally and sometimes physically (e.g., tapes, zines, or CDs).

Weekly zine featuring music reviews, artist interviews, and cultural commentary. Highlights artists with fewer than 1,000 listeners, and music that hasn't touched a playlist. Covers art, literature, and niche music scenes from Malaysia and beyond.

Curates mixes, themed shows, and broadcasts highlighting underground sounds. Occasionally features artist takeovers or playlists. Serves as an audio platform for discovery and community sharing.
